EY company on behalf of the Governor of Zlin Region, Radim Holiš awarded the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 in Zlin Region award. Its recipients were Daniel Večeřa, CEO of the HP TRONIC Group and Petr Res, CEO of ETA.
An independent jury decided to award the title for their approach to sustainability and the implementation of the latest technologies in their business and the ability to combine online sales with the operation of traditional stores. This was fully evident during the covid-19 pandemic, when the entire sales market changed and moved to an onine environment. “I would like to thank the Zlin Region for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award, not only for myself and my colleague Daniel Večeřa, but especially for the entire team of people who make up the HP TRONIC Group. It is a great recognition and there is a sense of tremendous satisfaction for all of us for the work we have done building the company in the Czech Republic and Slovakia over the past 30 years“, said Petr Res.
“The business and management of the company in a pair has not always been easy. Daniel Večeřa and Petr Res became co-owners of HP TRONIC, responsible for its management literally the day following the tragic death of the company’s founder. Both show with their inspiring story how to overcome obstacles and expand the company, which they have been successfully doing for over twenty years”, says Martina Kneiflová, EY’s Managing Partner in the Czech Republic. She adds, “The warehouse in Jirnech uses the most modern technology, a unique automated packaging machine and recycles all its waste. The entrepreneur’s approach to sustainability played an important role in the jury’s decision-making process”.
As part of the nationwide contest, they were among the 5 finalists who advanced to the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2021 final. The winner of the national competition was Tomáš Čupr, the founder and owner of the Rohlik Group.
